Summer Break - Week 2 & Part of Week 3

This second week of summer break was much more "relaxing" than the first week....if only the weather had been above 80 with no rain or clouds each day...then I think I could actually say it was SUMMER...but that didn't happen.

I think the highlight of the week was Sadie's school doing Doga (Yoga for dogs). The pictures turned out great and I think she had a fun time doing stretches with the trainers and playing with the big yoga balls. I must say...she is quite the social/involved dog with all her friends, adventures, and activities! If anything for us it's good practice getting her all involved, haha, and for her...it keeps her busy (and then tired) and her brain active! Good Girl Sadie!!! We love you and all the smiles you bring to our faces each day!!!

June 22 - Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup - cause it was just that cold this week!!



June 23 - Who can resist such a cute little face!!



June 24 - Dad & Monk - they played semi-pro football together waaaayyyy back in the day and have stayed friends since. We feel very lucky to have someone like Monk in our lives! ....My entire childhood (actually until about 4 years ago) I was terrified of him...but believe it or not he's one of the most sincere, gentle natured, and lovable guys you could meet! (I think it's just the beard that's a little "intimidating" for young kiddos! (and all the Harley gear he'd wear) hehe!) If you haven't met Monk through us, you may have heard of him in Palatine...and if not...you're just missin' out!!



June 25 - Becky's High School Graduation Party - off to U of I she goes! Congrats!!




And I had to add on these last few before I do the 'Hawaii Pictures of the Day' postings! ....I tried to make them exciting, but I was lacking on creativity, as my mind was just ready to be in the beauty of Hawaii!! ...Bare with me!



June 26 - Jack's suit close up - I must say though, there is something about your man in a suit, all fancy, that just puts a smile on your face!


June 27 - A little Hawaiian figurine that I got 15 years ago when we went to Hawaii. I believe I got it on the Big Island in Kona. I've always kept it out on a shelf since then - even in the new house it found a spot, as Hawaii always lives in my heart!


June 29 - My suitcase nearly ready to go! Hawaii - here we come!!
