The one thing this week that really made me realize how thankful I am for my vision was my eye Dr. appt. I love going to the eye Dr...never been a big deal. This time I just needed to go in for an eye dilation, routine thing about every 2 years I'd say. I've always been able to drive after, even though your eyes are super sensitive to light, it's always been fine for me with sunglasses on. Well, this day it was extra sunny and I was a little nervous about driving home...so he put in another set of drops that would bring down the dilation faster. As I got out of the chair and went to walk out to my car I realized how I could hardly see a thing...lol. I got in my car, glasses on, sunglasses over my glasses and started my car. Then...panic hit...I could really not see - I mean, I could, but it was very faintly and pretty freaky! Luckily my mom is on speed dial and I knew which button on my phone was for her work...so in a little panic/laughing (cause I felt..."only me!"..."really?!?"). "Mom - I can't see. I can't drive. What am I supposed to do?! I'm stranded here..." So, my mom, being the BEST MOM that she is, came to my rescue! She left work early to save her temporarily blind child. It still was somewhat humorous to us because, again,....only me!! So to kill time until my sight returned, we went to pick up Sadie from school - watched her play with the big dogs (she's the smallest one by like 45 pounds! lol!!), then went back to my car. It took about a good hour and then my vision was starting to clear - it was the most refreshing and comforting feeling!! So....in short...I'm beyond thankful and grateful for my vision!! Lesson learned...have a driver ready for those appt's and never get the drops that "help it clear faster"!! Thanks again Mom, you're the best!!
Here's my week "in review". Overall, there were highlights of each day that make my week better than it seemed! :)
June 13 - Laundry - I did 8 loads that day. Now for just 2 people...that's a lot! But I was just that far behind!!
June 14 - Sadie, my little Flirt!! (shirt picked out by Jack)
June 15 - Beautiful rosebush that after 2 years decided to bloom for us! Pretty!!
June 16 - Sadie layin' out with me!
June 17 - NKOTBSB Concert! Now that was SOOO FUN to re-live my early & middle teen years. Brought back lots of memories and obsessions I had, haha! It also made me realize how fast life goes and how much I really did love those years of my life!
June 18 - Early Father's Day steaks for my dad. We celebrated a day early with my dad so we could have time to be with Jack's dad as well. :)
June 19 - Front of house...before!
