Wine Trailers Try Out Wine Making

We have our "Wine Trail" group of friends that we've gone on a bunch of great trips over the past two years with, but this March we tried out wine making for ourselves. We started the night with a lovely dinner made by Megan and drank, of course, lots of wine. (And when I say lots...I mean waaayy too much, haha!)

Mainly the boys did all the making while the girls sat and watched, drank our wine, and chatted. We of course did help put in our opinions about what kinds of wine we wanted them to make. (Sounds pretty typical, right?!)

Overall - it was super fun, very cool to watch/do, and we are excited to see how they all turn out in a couple of months!

Irish * Irish * Irish

One of my favorite things about March is St. Patrick's Day. I'm not sure if it's the green color I like (which is totally Kappa Delta), or the cute little shamrocks, or the idea of leprechauns, or the green beer, or just the mere fact that it means my birthday is that much closer. But I do love it along with the whole month of March!!

We celebrated St. Patrick's Day simply with some green beers and Jack's parents while we watched one of the first days of March Madness.

Fellowship Housing Gala

This February one of my good friends Katie invited us to volunteer at the 20th Anniversary of Fellowship Housing Gala. Fellowship Housing provides safe, affordable housing and one-on-one mentoring that leads homeless single moms to long-term stability and independence.

We helped with registration, the silent auction, the reveal-wall, check-out and I even got to take some pictures!! It was a night of being 'in awe' of how many wonderful people attended this event to raise thousands of dollars for Fellowship Housing. I was inspired and honored to be a part of this event!! HUGE thanks to Katie and her family for including us in such a special night! :)

And the Practice Continues...

So I feel like I've gotten pretty comfortable with close-ups and more "artistic-nature" type photos. Here's a look at some I've taken over the past month. My next step is people...haha, I know...duh, that's an important one to get down as a photographer. My favorite photos to take though are of nature/close-up AND journalistic/in the moment shots. I'm anxiously awaiting warm weather so more people are out so I can practice people shots more, and so my hand doesn't get so cold clicking away!!

Our Office Secretary

Sadie now has a new favorite spot in the office...
Every time we are in there (or she goes in there before us) she looks to see how high the chair is and if she's able to get up there.
98% of the time she makes a successful leap and claims her thrown....the office chair!!
